Living in Florida comes with its perks, beaches, nice weather, and theme parks. One of the most popular theme parks being Universal Studios Orlando. Universal already offers an extensive amount of rides and activities but they are planning on opening up a  new park called Epic Universe in 2025. This new park will contain five new sections: Celestial Park, Dark Universe, How to Train Your Dragon Isle of Berk, Super Nintendo World, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Ministry of Magic.

Chloe Hane (’26), a fan of the parks, visits them quite often as she is a season pass holder. She claims she does not know much about the new park but from what she heard she says it’s going to be really exciting to visit it.

“I love going to Universal, it’s such an exciting experience. My favorite part of the current parks has to be the Harry Potter World, so my first stop when I visit the new park is going to be the new Harry Potter section,” Hane said.

Mia Powell (’24)  also says she is very excited for the new opening; she says she loves the parks and everything they have to offer.

“I’m very enthusiastic for the new opening, I love Harry Potter so much so I’m really excited for that part of the park,” Powell said.

Some aren’t avid Harry Potter fans though. Jeremy Shymkiw (’27) has his eyes focused on the Super Nintendo World.

“I play a lot of video games so I’m excited to see what they’ve done to make this park. I also can’t wait to see all the new rides and experiences they offer,” Shymkiw said.

This new park opening creates excitement for many and fans can only hope 2025 comes sooner so the wonders of the Epic Universe can be unlocked.
